Complex Trauma & PTSD
For the big, obvious trauma and the long, quiet kind. We work on the root, not just the symptoms, at a pace your nervous system can handle.
You've done therapy before. Maybe more than once. It helped some, but it never reached the root. I'm Caitlin Bailey, LCSW, a trauma therapist who works with the cases many clinicians shy away from: complex trauma, dissociation, and OCD, often all at once.
You want to get to the root of things, not just manage them. And you're ready, or almost ready, to do the uncomfortable work that takes.
If a few of these land, you're in the right place.
I've trained specifically for the things that often get missed, misread, or referred out.
For the big, obvious trauma and the long, quiet kind. We work on the root, not just the symptoms, at a pace your nervous system can handle.
Dissociative parts need more than a popular technique. I use careful, trained approaches that stabilize first, so the work doesn't make things worse.
Trauma-informed ERP and inference-based CBT (I-CBT), including help with the sneaky mental compulsions that are easy to miss.
Healing unmet needs from childhood so you can build steadier relationships and break patterns that have been handed down for generations.
For women who've used achievement to feel worthy and are ready to find self-worth that doesn't depend on performing.
I see clients ages 10 and up. I love working with preteens and teens (with parents who are on board), and with anyone in the middle of a big life change.
"I believe everything you need to heal is already within you. My job is to help you find it and trust it."
Caitlin Bailey, LCSWTherapy with me is interactive and collaborative. It isn't always comfortable, but you won't be doing the hard parts alone.
We look at what's showing up in your body and mind, in session and during the week, and explore the messages underneath it so the big feelings start to settle.
We get familiar with the different parts of you, including the ones that protect, avoid, or hold old pain, and work on meeting the needs they've been carrying.
You'll leave with things to work on between sessions. Sometimes we face fears together in session, so you don't have to do it by yourself.
In-person sessions are preferred when possible. Telehealth is available for clients anywhere in Utah.
Sessions in English or Spanish.
